So, it seems Fur Patrol have decided to come back and show off their pretty new 3 person dress. Of course, I won't have any further news on this until they give it on their website, so you may as well just check there first.

Well, with a heavy heart I've updated the bands bio pages... sniff... Bye Bye Steve.
19 October, 2004
Well, as you have probably already read, Steve has left Fur Patrol. His last gig is this coming Friday in Melbourne. I bid him a fond farewell. *bids*
3 October, 2004
OK. We'll try to forget I attempted that. New gigs stolen from the proper website. Etc.
19 September, 2004
Julia is playing a solo show in Melbourne, see?... Uh... In a sad attempt at, I dunno, breathing some life back into the old Club Fur, I'm attempting a competition. Just so you know...*sigh*
11 September, 2004
Ok, right. Fur Patrol's next single is going to be Enemy. They even got a NZONAIR video grant. In site related news, theirs is back up and this one has a couple of additions in the form of fan art, from a mystery fan. Two wallpapers and two icons. So go have a look.

Hello there. It's been a while. Like that Staind song. Only without all the sucking and what have you. So, updates haven't been coming hard and fast because the official site is broken and where else would I steal news from? So hold tight, I'm sure they'll fix it soon. Until then, the tour page has been updated. Otherwise, I think they've been nominated for a Juice TV video award. And I think they've been nominated for a Tui (?). I'm sure this isn't really news. Oh well. Have a nice day.

I've finally updated something. Now we have a fully up-to-date discography, tour page and I even added a couple of photography links if you haven't already seen them. So by now you should be fully aware that Fur Patrol are touring Aussie with the Datsuns, going to Western Australia for the first time AND have completed their own fine website. Any questions?
17 July 2004
Ok. I think that's about everything. So welcome and all that. If you see anything that I've failed to upload can you email me and let me know? Hopefully this host will be permanent. Churchur.
12 July 2004
Welcome to the new and "improved" All Those Other Stupid Things. If you by chance come along while this new version of the site is still in it's fledgling state, please bear with me while everything is transferred over to the new host. Choiiiiiice.
1 July, 2004
Sigh. The site is back up. But I'm going to be moving it soon. So if you've stuck around, keep an eye out for that. Etc.

A review of Collider, copied for your benefit.

Some sexy photos of the Furs from the Kings Arm gig last month up here thanks to Andrew at Cheese on Toast. Also, for the Aussies, more gigs.
27 May, 2004
Gigs in New Zealand over the next few days are up here.
25 May, 2004

3 May, 2004
Ok, I've updated the tour dates... the Hamilton gig... an Auckland gig... etc
26 April, 2004
So Fur Patrol have scored a support slot for everyone's favourite whiney "rock" pop star Pink. Deep Purple is no more. Neither is the Hamilton gig by the looks of it. The Gisborne gig has been postponed till the 15th of May.
12 April, 2004
What are you still looking at me for? The official Fur Patrol site has been launched and is well worth a look. Now all I can do is steal their info. Collider was released in Aussie today, so if you're an Aussie go and buy it. Now. Also, New Zealand dates are here. Now shoo.
6 April, 2004
Fur Patrol have been named as the support act for Deep Purple when they play in Auckland later this month. Stay tuned for more dates.

Gday. Sorry there haven't been many updates lately, but I haven't had anything to update with. If you have anything to add to the site feel more than welcome to send it via email. All contributions are more than appreciated and you even get to be added to the thank you page! What a great way to impress the grandkids or your future in-laws! Also, incase you haven't been paying attention, The Furs would LOVE your votes for Get Along in the Triple J Net50. So what you should do is visit the voting site and then pass on the task to a couple of friends, co-workers, family, Haley-Joel Osmond, what-have-you and ask them to help as well... Well. Think about it.
8 March, 2004
Sorry. Been a bit slack in stealing the new dates. But never fear, they're up here
26 February, 2004
Ladies and gentlemen, feast your eyes on this fabulous AND sexy review by my darling Dawn Tratt of this years Fur set at Big Day Out. Thanks D-Von. Can I call you D-Von? Dudley?
26 February, 2004
Ok then. We have a winner. As judged by the lovely Canadian correspondent Mr. Kam Deep, the lucky winner of a double pass to tomorrow night's Bodega gig is... Anna Thompson for her hours of work on her page of entries.
Bass, drums, lead and voice
Makes the working week worth the
Toil and suffering
17 February, 2004
As you well know, the Furs are returning home next week. To celebrate the delightful joy, you can win a double pass to the gig (at Bodega on the 27th of Feb...). All you have to do is write a double-pass winning haiku about the band. Remember, it goes 5 syllables, 7, then 5 again.
eg:
Fur Patrol are good
One thing keeps me away though
Restraining order
So send your entries in to me at this address and I'll announce the winner the day before the gig. Best of luck.

Exciting news for Sydney fans. On Tuesday the 24th of February, Fur Patrol are shooting a music video for their next single in Sydney at the Labour Club in Surrey Hills on Bourke Street. If you would like to be one of the audience members at the gig please contact: Katie Snarskis at Reputable Films on 02 9266 0000, or email snarksis@bigpond.net.au and they'll see you on the day.
3 February, 2004
Lots of dates are up now for the Aussies as well...
1 February, 2004
Three shows for NZ before the Furs head back to Aussie to tour, release Collider in April and then jet on over to England in May.
27 January, 2004
There's a previously unpublished interview with Julia by Matthew, one of the lucky recipients of guestlist love on the last tour. Have a read. Learn some stuff.
21 January, 2004
Have a look at Dawn's cartoons of the Furs in Waihi: Clicky. More to come. Cheers Dawn.
16 January, 2004
Hello. I got an email with a link to what I assume will be a growing Furry tab supply, so if you're interested, OzTabs is your answer.
15 January, 2004
Just a couple of additions in the form of 2 transcribed radio interviews. I have nothing but spare time on my hands. Well.. spare time and blood. ANYWAY, they're there and pretty funny. Anyone going to the BDO tomorrow, have fun, take photos!
14 January
Alrighty folks. We have a job to do! It's Triple J Hot 100 voting time. This year however we have representatives from Collider! Both Precious and Fade Away are on the list. Your job is to vote for them. But you're encouraged not to split the vote. That only leads to tears, heartbreak and George Bush as the president (actually you get ten choices... but... uh...). So if you wouldn't mind, follow this link here and place your vote for PRECIOUS. Go on! You know you want to. Voting closes on the 23rd of January so get a wriggle on.
7 January, 2004
Check out Jono's photos of the Jolly Poacher gig in Christchurch last month. Linky

Another cancellation. The Wade Hotel gig in Silverdale, due to noise restriction.
We wouldn't have been able to play any louder than "...a loungeroom stereo." ( local noise control authority) and so it was decided to pull the plug as it would've been a frustrating experience for everyone and the band would've been liable for any fines ( potentially thousands of $ worth !). Once again, our humblest apologies to everyone planning on going to that one. We'll be back... SOON!

Happy New Year. I'm going to have to hope like hell that this message stays up for a while. Our hosts server is switching around a bit lately so there may be downtime and as I've already experienced twice, updates may be lost. SO, updates from last year that are now buried in the archives can be found here, and a reminder that there's a competition to win tickets for each night of the north island tour. Email me (fur_patrol_mail@yahoo.co.nz) and tell me your name and why you deserve a spot on the guestlist and it shall be so. Make sure you get your details to me before 9pm the night prior to the gig so I can send along your name the next morning. HOWEVER, as Simon has kindly let us know in the guestbook, the gigs in Whitianga and Northland have been cancelled.
CANCELLATION NOTICE: Due to situations beyond our control, we're no longer playing the advertised shows at the Coroglen and Mangawhai Taverns. We're REALLY sorry about this and only found out about it this morning. It's very disappointing as we were looking forward to the start of our North Island tour. We're still doing a heap of gigs around that part of the country though, so check gig guides for our closest show to your good selves. Once again, our humblest apologies to all! See you at the beach. If you've pre-purchased tickets for either of those shows, take them back to the venues for a refund.
