No, I haven't forgotten you... I've been PC-less for a while. Finally got my new PC filled with all the site contents - no thanks to the $130 I spent hiring Dial-a-Nerd to retrieve data. 2 weeks and $130 later (plus $95 for a call out) I had no data off my old PC and an empty wallet. Thankfully a furry fan lent a hand and lo, the site is back to being updated. Yes. Don't hire Dial-a-Nerd unless you enjoy wasting money. Ask a friend. Friends are better, cheaper and less jerky (yay Bambi).

Anyway, incase you missed it, C4 screened their Homegrown special in the weekend. I was sick and lying on the couch so I managed to not only watch it, but record it and upload it. Gosh I'm clever.

Click here to be whisked away to Wellington Waterfront before the frosts set in.

Nice video of Lydia and a little interview. C4's presenters should be replaced by robots though - it'd give a nice sense of personality to the hosting. Oh my I am cranky...

15 March
I'm a bit slow on the uptake here, but I've added this interesting interview with the band in the articles section. Go read it.

Anyway, yesterday was Homegrown on the Wellington Waterfront. The lovable Fur Patrol took to the stage just after 4pm in the Nokia Indie ... uh... Shed, to an excitable crowd, some of whom almost knew the song titles (one particularly energetic lass was very passionately singing along to "Spinning Around")

A similar mix of songs to the Frank Kitts gig, only without any angles and without any Collider songs.

For your viewing pleasure we have a shaky shaky video of Debt... apologies for the shakes but I've mentioned the crowd were excitable, and frankly, I was one of them.

Also, because I'm such a giving person, gaze upon the still photo-y goodness. Ok, some are better than others, but you get what you pay for.

23 February
So, if you're in Wellington and you caught that Frank Kitts Park gig you'll fully appreciate when I say "SQUEEEEE!!"

Possibly and probably the greatest Fur Patrol gig in history? That's the buzz on the streets ya know.

It was a truly marvellous and special show, with the band playing a wide variety of their songs, including some songs that haven't been rolled in Wellington in quite some time. The song choices were excellent for the setting, with the floating vocals drifting around the waterfront on the wind and as the crowd started getting jiggy they cranked out the ROCK. Twas awesome.

Extra added bonus was the wonderful and incredibly talented choir of angles who graced the stage for Silences and Distances & Rondo. It sounded amazing. Gush gush.

Here's a sampling of what you may have missed (or what you're thrilled to relive?) Some people were reportedly moved to tears by this.

Again, if you're so inclined, some photos.

Thanks for coming guys!

2 February 2009
Hey now, Wellingtonians. Book it into your calendars now. If you're sick to your stomachs about not buying a ticket in time for Homegrown, perhaps you ought to get thyselves down to the waterfront on 19 February to see Fur Patrol play at Starry Nights.

Last year (on Valentines Day) the Phoenix Foundation put on an award winning performance at the very same gig and it was a fabulous night in the city.

Round up your friends, families and colleagues and come down.

Pandacorn will make another appearance.

Download it for your office/window/car/small children's backs
